He has particular expertise in robotic and computer-assisted joint replacement, direct anterior total hip replacement, partial knee replacement, hip resurfacing, and short-stay/rapid-recovery joint replacement.  His practice is committed to providing personalized care to active patients of all ages who have disorders of the hip and knee. Dr. McLawhorn believes that research, education, and leadership are central to the delivery of the highest quality, patient-centered, orthopedic care. He has authored numerous publications, earned multiple research awards and grants, and presented his research nationally and internationally.
